So this page is a little bit about me. Moving to London was a great experience for my career, starting off in a pub makes one appreciate the perks of becoming a professional. Five quid an hour... honestly! With that hard work ethic, I was thankful my parents sent over my design folio. Sure enough, Australians work hard and I got snapped up. A few contracts here and there before freelancing for TMW, where they offered me a job after a week. Getting the sponsorship was not as easy, but a blessing. TMW, being a 300-people plus agency, exposed me to a whole new world that I loved. If you have a question, there are pros here... left, right and centre.

Working with every department, I learnt the ins and outs of the technical side of creative artwork. Having designed for a while I wanted to learn the real nuts and bolts that make a job run like a formula one team.

So time went on in the print world, but the digital frontier was opening up. Putting my hand up for anything new digital was a must. I still remember my manager saying “you love this new digital stuff it seems”. I did. Working in a variety of media is fun!

Getting let go in the GFC was harsh, but a blessing. I got to look after my late father in his last years as all my siblings were OS. After freelancing back in Australia for a while, OBM advertising turned up and offered the opportunity to work in print and digital. It was a no brainer. I jumped at it.

Sure you get 50pp docs, but the digital age hit soon after. Flash, page takeovers, LCPs and eDMs were the new weapon of choice in advertising. It was time to get serious and step up. I got moved to the digital dept and from there it was time to step up to another level... eDM HTML coding. I soon worked it out. How many people do you know can design, do artwork, banner animate, edit video and code eDM HTML?

Well that’s about it, about me. Whatever your business is, I would love to meet you for a meeting to see if I can add something to your team and clients.

Have a great day.
Guy
